While I'm happy that they play in PLEX, I'm worried that there's something wrong with the files. My PC can play native 4k UHD files with no problem, so I doubt it's my specs that can't handle a 2gb 1080p mkv with around 1000kbps bitrate. When watching through PLEX on my TV (direct play - absolutely no transcoding), they play flawlessly. ![]() Weirdly, the stuttering is only present when watching the files directly from my PC. Whilst this has worked with the majority of my library so far (and they load instantly on my TV - yey), for a lot of other files it has introduced massive stuttering. This quickly gives me an mkv contained version of the same file with supposedly no changes to quality. The video mode is 'copy' and the audio mode is also 'copy'. I'm using the latest version of XMedia, selecting matroska as the format and mkv as the file extension. A few people suggested I use XMedia Recode to convert my mp4s to mkvs (as my TV loads the mkvs far faster in PLEX). ![]()

When I have the “exclude” listed here, it seems to not work at all still (even though it appears exactly the same way in its command line argument). Here I get the Target URL pointing to my backup file location, the Commandline Arguments pointing to all the folders I’m backing up, and the “exlude” is one of the members of the “advanced options” list. But the way I’ve been running the test up until now (since this is the only way I can figure out to get to the commandline easily) is by selecting “Commandline…” on an existing backup – When I set it up like you (with the path in the Target URL and the exclude in the Commandline arguments box) i now get the same result. Īlso out of curiosity - it occurred to me that selecting to exclude “system files” might also work for this use case, but there’s not much explanation given as to what this will actually exclude (is it only the system-attribute windows files that are hidden by default unless you override them in explorer’s settings) - I’m nervous that checking this option will exclude some specific files that I’d really want to back up, and/or not exclude ones I’d expect to be excluded (such as above) - is there a place with any sort of in-depth explanation for this option?Įdit to add: I tried enabling the setting to exclude System files, and still got this warning - but I checked and the temp file is just hidden, not a system file as far as I can see, and I really don’t want to exclude hidden files from general backup. ![]() The process cannot access the file ‘C:\Work\Projects\~$MyExcelFile.xlsx’ because it is being used by another process. The idea that music is now considered a collective experience, rather than a downloadable commodity means that vinyl record players and turntables are true, ageless icons. Analogue-to-digital conversion has come a long way since the early days, but still vinyl is making a major resurgence over the last few years. Most recordings are built from digital masters or recordings made natively in modern software. Nowadays, ‘all-analogue’ is an incredibly rare occurrence. For vinyl, the volume is dependent on the length of its sides and depth of its grooves, which means that a well-mastered record may have more room to breathe than its digital counterpart. Where digital recordings are compressed, which can at times squash the textures and depth brought out in the original, vinyl is not bound by the same compression standards. Without the complications of digital conversion, record players and vinyl players can express things in detail, with a full range of dynamics. This allows the series to become more than simply a young shinobi completing his missions.Īlso, as is typical with such anime, the series includes a healthy dose of comedy. I find that this is when Naruto becomes far more intriguing as, with each event, more details came to light about the character’s pasts. ![]() Though initially the series appears to focus more on Naruto himself, attention soon shifts more towards the bigger picture and the introduction of the show’s main villain – Orochimaru. Nevertheless, despite following this conventional recipe, I still found the plot wholly gripping. Group of friends whose bonds are stronger than any foe – check. Said character rapidly improves and becomes more powerful with each passing mission – check. Lively, young male lead protagonist with an unusually strong power – check. Instead it joins a plethora of other similar shows and happily falls back on a box-ticking exercise. No matter how I look at it, Naruto doesn’t attempt to push the boundaries of the shounen genre all that much. The show follows him in the early stages of his career and the deadly foes that not only pose a threat to Konoha, but also to himself and the entire ninja world. ![]() Shortly after he was born, the powerful nine-tailed demon fox was sealed inside him and, as the host of this monster, Naruto has spent his life as the village outcast. With all the extensive publicity, fanboyism and build-up surrounding the series, I had foolishly come to anticipate that Naruto would be different however, as I soon came to discover, I was wrong. ![]() Consisting of dizzying highs of compelling fights followed by the bitterly crushing disappointment of tedious filler, the genre in itself becomes a love/hate affair.
